New Farm Park Clean Up for World Environment Day
Celebrate World Environment Day with a hands-on, family-friendly morning of community action at New Farm Park.
Leaf Your Mark: The Ultimate Eco-Party! invites Brisbane families to swap the screen for some green and help give one of our much-loved local parks a little extra care. Families will meet near the Dendy Powerhouse Cinema area before heading out in small groups for a relaxed community clean-up around New Farm Park and surrounding areas.
This is a fun and welcoming way for children to learn about caring for the environment, sustainability, and looking after the shared spaces we all enjoy. After the clean-up, everyone will come back together for snacks, connection time, and a gentle conversation about why environmental conservation matters for future generations. This event is suitable for families, children, friends, and community members who want to do something positive for the planet while enjoying a morning outdoors.
The event is jointly organised by Parents for Climate, Serve the City, and People Planet Brisbane.
What’s provided: rubbish bags, gloves, litter pickers, a sharps container, group coordination, snacks, and a warm community atmosphere.
What to bring: hat, sunscreen, water bottle, comfortable closed walking shoes, kids, friends, family, and community spirit.
