With more rain and the possibility of thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow, we can’t guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience for our community, performers or vendors.” statement here
The City of Moreton Bay invites everyone to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at the North Lakes Christmas Carols – the first of four signature Christmas carol events across the region. Pack a picnic blanket or some chairs and head to Kinsellas Sports Complex in North Lakes for a truly spectacular evening of festive fun.
The Twilight Markets and Food Trucks will set the scene, offering the perfect opportunity to get a head start on Christmas shopping. Visitors can wander under twinkling festoon lights while browsing stalls featuring local crafts, jewellery, handmade gifts, toys, and more. A range of food trucks will be on site, serving up delicious meals and sweet treats to suit every taste.
Santa’s Village will be buzzing with excitement as children take part in a variety of festive activities and craft workshops. Young visitors can create their own Christmas masterpieces, enjoy free face painting, and make their own Christmas photo frames. Santa’s special North Pole Express Letterbox will also be inside the village, ready for little ones to post their letters straight to Santa himself.
Of course, no Christmas celebration would be complete without meeting the jolly man in red! Santa will be available for meet and greets at selected times throughout the evening – the perfect chance to share Christmas wishes and capture a magical photo.
On the Main Stage, local artists and community groups will perform all your favourite Christmas carols, filling the night with joyful music and entertainment for the whole family. The full stage program will be announced later this year.
Roving Christmas entertainers will add to the festive cheer, spreading smiles and laughter throughout the crowd – don’t forget to stop for a photo!
The evening will conclude with a breathtaking fireworks display at 8pm, lighting up the North Lakes sky and bringing the celebrations to a spectacular close.
