Riverside at the Gardens Markets

20 September
Riverside at the Gardens Markets

Stroll through the Riverside at the Gardens Markets in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens every Sunday. Perfect for local families, this long-running free weekly market offers a relaxed morning of international street food, artisan art and fashion stalls, live music, and direct access to nearby playgrounds and riverwalks.

Riverside at the Gardens Markets

A great way to spend a Sunday, Brisbane’s Riverside Markets have been a popular gathering place for locals and tourists for over 30 years.

Set right in the heart of the City Botanic Gardens, the markets offer a range of art and fashion under the Queensland sun, along with live music every morning and great international food and coffee.

Riverside Markets is family and dog friendly, with baby changing facilities and toilets on site, and the newly refurbished playground in the City Botanic Gardens nearby to keep the kids entertained after breakfast. The markets are also close to the Brisbane River, with dedicated walking and cycling paths following the riverbank, perfect for a stroll or a guided walk through the gardens afterwards.

Entry is free. Riverside Markets runs every Sunday, though it may close if winds are too strong, so it’s worth checking social media for updates if unsure.
