Sherwood Community Festival 2026
The Sherwood Community Festival returns in 2026, with the much-loved event moving to May in the hope of more favourable weather and an even better community celebration.
After last year’s cancellation due to poor conditions, the festival is set to once again bring Sherwood Road to life, inviting the community to come together and celebrate the 30th Sherwood Community Festival on Saturday 16 May 2026, with event times to be confirmed.
A strong line-up of entertainment will be presented across two stages, featuring local performers and community demonstrations throughout the day. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while exploring market stalls, community displays and creative activities.
Food trucks and a sausage sizzle will offer a range of sweet and savoury options, alongside refreshments to suit all tastes. The festival is proudly organised by volunteers and delivered as a free, family-friendly, not-for-profit event, supported by Brisbane City Council and local businesses.
Event highlights include free rides, two stages of live entertainment, free face painting, family games and activities, more than 50 market stalls, food trucks, art workshops and a photography competition, with more to be announced.
