Why Giggle and Hoot and Friends is an awesome show for kids

One of the best surprises of the Giggle and Hoot and Friends Live show is that it also includes the Bananas in Pyjamas and Hoopla Doopla’s Zap as well as Mimi and Jango. This wasn’t our focus when we went to the show so needless to say our children were very excited by the additional celebrities on stage. Jimmy Giggle’s first appearance was met with squeals of excitement from the kids and a very different type of squeal and the odd wolf whistle from the mums in the crowd (very funny).  Hoot and Hootabelle join him on stage for some well known games and songs leaving the kids in the audience entranced, smiling and singing along.

B1 and B2 are hysterical in their bulky costumes and clearly a hit with the kids with their synchronisation and banana mystery. Zap, Mimi and Jango from Hoopla Doopla amazed the crowd with dazzling acrobatics, hoola-hooping, tumbling, unicycling and juggling while on a search for a fruit-muffin eating dragon.

Will my toddler sit through a Giggle and Hoot Live Show

The Giggle and Hoot live show is a 50 minute jam packed performance. The show was over all too quickly with kids still waving goodbye to their favourite characters as they were filing out of their seats. Parents of toddlers can expect them to be well entertained especially with the addition of the extra characters.

Giggle and Hoot Merchandise for Sale

There is a merchandise stand located near the Box Office of the Playhouse. It has a great selection of t-shirts in a range of sizes, a show bag, books, DVDs and plush toys. While this was only Day one of performances, it appeared very well stocked and the line before and after the show was never more than 3 people deep.

Giggle and Hoot and Friends are only with us for a short period of time so get in quick before they are gone!

Friday 9^th January – 10.00am and 12.30pm

Saturday 10^th January – 10.00am, 12.30pm and 3.00pm

Sunday 11^th January – 10.00am and 12.30pm

Tickets range from $39.90 (B Reserve) to $64.90 Premium Reserve (many of these are already sold out)

Children under 18 months are free if sitting on an adult’s knee.
