A highlight on The Hills Festival program, the annual Hills Carnivale is an event full of colour, fun and excitement that is sure to entertain the whole family on Sunday 25th May.
While the whole program has not yet been released, below is the 2018 program that is sure to provide some insight into what to expect in 2019!
The Hills Carnivale 2018
The Hills Carnivale features a program bursting with fun activities, rides, roving performers and live entertainment for both young and old making it the perfect day out for any family. The program includes:
The Main Stage
The main stage at the Hills Carnivale this year will offer a great variety of local Brisbane based performers from alternative pop to blues, folk and soul music. Performers are still being confirmed for 2018 and will be updated as they are announced, howevere on thing is for fure- everyone will look up to the sky to see an explosion of colour at the fireworks finale which will close the Hills Carnivale for 2018 at 7.30pm.
The Kids Stage
The Kids Stage boasts a great line up that will keep the kids entertained all afternoon. Performers are still being confirmed for 2018 and will be updated as they are announced. In 2017, The Kids Stage opened with a gorgeous performance by Flutter The Fairy, closely followed by the Jelly Eating Competition and the hilarious Larrikin Puppets. Nickleby the Magician who entertained kids of all ages with his optical illusions and magic trick before the days entertainment ended with the Curly Cousins and The Fabulous Lemon Drops who had everyone up on their feet singing and dancing.
The Kids Zone
The Hills Carnivale Kids Zone is an area just for Brisbane Kids and the best bit is that everything in the zone is absolutely FREE! Last year the Kid Zone included pony rides, the Bean Bag Game, face painting and a balloons sculpture that was available to make whatever your heart desires from balloons. Kids ran away to join the circus for the day and learnt how to juggling, hula hoop, diablo’s, flower sticks, poi, dancing ribbons, hack sacks, spinning plates and more at the circus workshops. While the littler Brisbane Kids were kept busy in the Kids Play Centre where they had fun in the ball pit, play house soft play shapes and more.
Rides
The Hills Carnivale has a great area set aside for thrill seekers and kids featuring rides for young and old. This year you can expect to see the Super Sizzler, Ferris Wheel, Two Up G Force, Rock Wall, Merry-Go-Round, and the Screamer Slide. The best bit is that rides are great value for money at only $2 per ride!
The Hills Carnivale Food, Drinks and Markets
The Hills Carnivale boast an amazing food court featuring international cuisine, delicious snacks, coffee and gourmet food stalls. There are also a great range of market stalls for the whole family to wander through.
The Hills Carnivale Time and Dates 2018
The Hills Carnivale is held at George Willmore Park located at 52 Ferny Way, Ferny Hills.
