For a farmyard animal experience thatโs huge on the hospitality factor and full of surprises, look no further than the welcoming pastures of EWE Nique Hobby Farm in Haigslea.
This picturesque farm located just off the Warrego Highway, past Blacksoil west of Brisbane, is the ideal spot to spend some quality time in the country with a menagerie of cute and cuddly farm animals. The sheep, goats and alpacas are the stars of the show but donโt forget about the fluffy chickens, fancy peacocks and noisy geese all vying for a piece of attention (or more specifically food!).
Up Close and Personal Animal Experience
Upon arrival at EWE Nique Hobby Farm youโll be warmly greeted by owner Penny and knowledgeable Farmer Dave, whoโll assist in the purchase of feed buckets. Take your time feeding and interacting with the resident animals as they fight for prime patting and carrot eating positions. Each animal has a distinctive personality to match their โEWE Niqueโ look such as baby alpaca Scarf, fondly named after the white band around his neck. Once your food bucket has been emptied, pick up a brush and groom one of the friendly goats whoโll enjoy the experience as much as you will.
Fins, Wings and Dinosaurs โ New Attraction
As this name suggests, youโll find a lot more to see at EWE Nique Hobby Farm than just sheep! The recently opened aviary is home to a host of different bird species, clever goldfish (trained by Farmer Dave himself!) and a collection of large-scale dinosaur statues. Naturally, these will be a big hit with young dino enthusiasts and create plenty of fantastic photo opportunities.
Countryside Hospitality
A trip to EWE Nique Hobby farm wouldnโt be complete without a pit stop at the Baa Baa Coffee Shed where Penny lovingly serves up hot and cold drinks plus an array of delicious homemade goods. On the menu you can find raspberry and coconut muffins, caramel slice, banana cake and fresh honey to take home. Thereโs plenty of green space for the kids to have a run around or to pull up a picnic blanket and enjoy the serenity of life on the farm.
A visit to the EWE Nique Hobby Farm feels like popping in to see family. It is clear owners Penny and Farmer Dave are passionate about the farm and provide exceptional care for the animals who live there.
