CDP Theatre Productions presents Horrible Harriet at QUT Garden’s Theatre in August and September 2017 for a strictly limited season.
Horrible Harriet
After the success of bringing The Tree House books, The Gruffalo and Mr Stink to life, CDP Theatre Producers are back to bring the popular children’s book Horrible Harriet to life in a live stage production.
The show follows the title character Horrible Harriet and is adapted from the books by Leigh Hobbs. Harriet is a girl who lives in the school roof and keeps teachers chained in the basement so they can do her homework for her. She does not really get along with the other kids at school, buts she is lonely and would love to have a friend at school to play with.
That’s when Athol Egghead enters the story. He lands in his hot air balloon and it seems that Harriet has finally met someone that gets her and she can have fun with….that is until Mr Chicken arrives and causes havoc. Fortunately it seems Harriet knows how to handle Mr Chicken…….or does she? And that is when the fun starts!
The show is a fun, scandalous, laugh out loud comedy that is full of songs, mischief and a powerful message about friendship that is recommended for Brisbane Kids aged 3-8 years and their parents. Even those who have never read the book before will love this production of Horrible Harriet!
