QUT Gardens Theatre have announced that The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show will return to Brisbane during December 2018.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show

After performing to sold out crowds across Australia and throughout the world last year, this beautiful theatrical production is based on one of the most famous children’s book of all time- The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Featuring over 75 magical puppets created by the amazing New York’s Puppet Kitchen, the show will see some of Eric Carle’s most popular books come to life on stage. The show will retell the story of not only the caterpillar that ate his way through the week only to emerge from his cocoon as a beautiful butterfly, but also of The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse and The Very Lonely Firefly; all by the very talented Eric Carle.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller and directed by Naomi Edwards, this Australian made show is the perfect introduction for Brisbane Kids to the theatre as it entertains the whole family not only with timeless stories but also breathtaking puppets and colourful props.

Recommended for Brisbane Kids aged 2 years and over, this fantastic puppet theatre production will have everyone mesmerized and is sure to entertain and delight not only Hungry caterpillar fans, but Eric Carle fans of all ages.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show Performances :

All The Very Hungry Caterpillar Shows are being performed at QUT’s Gardens Theatre, X Block,
Gardens Point Precinct, 2 George Street, Brisbane City (next to the City Botanic Gardens).

• Thursday 13 December @ 10am and 12pm
• Friday 14 December @ 10am and 12pm
• Saturday 15 December @ 10am and 12pm
• Sunday 16 December @ 10am and 12pm

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is approximately 50 minutes in duration and has no interval.

Ticket Prices for The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show

• $36 per person
• $29.00 per person (Group Booking of 6+)
• Children 12 months and under are admitted free as long as they are on a parent/carer’s lap
• A $3.30 mailing fee applies per transaction.
