Established in 1940, Lady Gowrie Qld has been educating and caring for children for over 85 years.

The Brisbane Lady Gowrie Child Centre at Love Street was originally founded as a demonstration centre for excellence in early childhood education by Lady Gowrie, wife of the Governor-General at the time.

From these beginnings, Lady Gowrie has grown into a respected not-for-profit organisation, delivering high-quality early childhood education and care programs to families across Queensland.

Today, the organisation continues to lead with a strong commitment to best practice, supporting children’s development through inclusive, research-informed approaches and meaningful partnerships with families and communities.
