The Ipswich Art Gallery is excited to present Loose Ends, a show for the whole family during the Spring 2017 school holidays.

Having earned its merit and popularity at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, award-winning performer Jens Altheimer brings his newest show ‘Loose Ends’ to the Ipswich Art Gallery to entertain Brisbane Kids for the holidays. The award-nominated family show is being described as the opportunity to ‘Experience extraordinary visual theatre, set in a wondrous tinkering heaven!’.

Loose Ends invites the audience into a world where gadgets are poetic, puppets are naughty, machines are untamed and circus tricks pop-up when you’re least expecting it! It is a world where familiar household items are transformed and used in ways you would least expect, leaving the audience stunned by the amazing contraptions they have seen come to life before their very eyes.

Puppets are used, along with everyday items and the talented Paris-trained, multi-disciplinary circus artist and quirkologist, Altheimer, brings a quality, creative and quirky tale to life.

This ‘out of the ordinary’ show deals with the heart-warming themes of friendship, acceptance and loyalty, presented with an energised mix of circus and puppetry.

Loose Ends is a charming, fun and engaging show that is recommended for Brisbane Kids aged 5 years and over and their parents (as there are some scenes that may frighten children under 5).

Loose Ends is showing at the Ipswich Art Gallery throughout the Spring school holidays on the following dates and times:

• Saturday 9th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Monday 18th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Tuesday 19th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Wednesday 20th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Thursday 21st September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Friday 22nd September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Saturday 23rd September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Tuesday 26th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Wednesday 27th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Thursday 28th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Monday 18th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Friday 29th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Saturday 30th September @ 10.30am and 1.30pm
• Sunday 1st October September @ 10.30am

The show runs for approximately 60 minutes with no interval.

The Ipswich Art Gallery is located in d’Arcy Doyle Place; a pedestrian mall section of Nicholas Street between Brisbane and Limestone Streets in the Ipswich CBD.

Loose Ends Shows Ticket Prices

All tickets are an affordable $7 per person and free for kids under 2 years who are not occupying a seat.
