Grab some fish and chips and spend a leisurely afternoon soaking up the sunshine at the fully fenced Lota Park, on the stunning Moreton Bay in Lota. With beach inspired forts, slides, sand play and brilliant water views, this is definitely a playground to visit at any time of the year.
Lota Park Playground
Lota Park (AKA Fig Tree Point Park) is a fun, beachy local park on Lota Esplanade. It is a good alternative to the popular Wynnum water park on the Bayside and doesn’t get as busy (though it is still very popular).
The playground, which is both toddler and older Brisbane Kid friendly features forts, slides, rockers and fabulous climbing opportunities.
The sand base allows for a soft landing and plenty of sand play if you bring your own toys (or maybe just use your hands).
For those looking to get a little more energetic there is outdoor fitness equipment and plenty of grassy areas surrounding the playground for running games.
The playground at Lota Park is now fully fenced, which is alway great if you are visiting with multiple children or children that can move quickly. It is a colourful and inspiring playground with lovely sea views. Oh and did we mention you can get delicious fish and chips from across the road at Barts!
Lota Park has accessible toilets, barbeques and undercover seating, making it a great destination for a little picnic, party or extended playdate
Imagination Factor at Lota Park
This fantastic modern playground features several awesome forts which are built to look like beach huts. Little ones can pretend they are on a beach holiday, playing house or perhaps just have fun playing hide and seek.
The sand play options are endless. Perhaps trucks will race through the sand, maybe little explorers will dig a hole or build a sandcastle – just don’t forget to bring you sand play toys!
Accessibility at Lota Park
The playground itself has a soft sand base and is fully fenced. There are shade sails covering some of the play equipment, however some equipment is unshaded. Outside the fenced playground there are some flat concrete paths for easy access.
Fig Tree Point/Lota Park has accessible public toilets, water fountains and shelters.

We will be back! This fully fenced playground is awesome for a range of ages.
