What you need to make Christmas Tree Bells Decorations
To make your Christmas tree bell decorations out of egg cartons you will need:
- An egg carton
- Decorative stickers
How to make Christmas Tree Bell Decorations with Egg Cartons
Cut the top section of the egg carton off and put aside. We will be using the section that the eggs actually sit in usually.
Cut out each egg base separately so that you are left with small bell-shaped carton sections.
Paint the bell-shaped carton pieces whatever colour you love most. We went with Christmas colours and actually got paints from Spotlight that came with glitter already through them, which was super easy to apply and looked great!
Add any decorative bits to the bells that you would like. We chose some coloured gems that we bought at spotlight to decorate the plain coloured bells and left the glitter paint ones as they were.
Using string, tie one of the small craft bells to the bottom with a knot and then thread it through the bell top (make a whole in the top by pushing the ends of the scissors through).
Make a knot on the string at the hole so that it does not pull through and then another one on top of the hole. Make a small bow out of another piece of ribbon and glue it to the top of the bell.
And there you have your Christmas decoration – ready to hang on the tree. You can vary the design to reflect your child’s individuality!
