If you’re looking to celebrate the new year with your family, there are plenty of fun and family-friendly events in Brisbane that will provide something for everyone.

Remember, New Year’s Eve doesn’t have to be about staying up until midnight!

The kid-friendly New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Brisbane calendar provide a wonderful opportunity to involve your Brisbane Kids in the festivities, with many events starting earlier in the evening to cater for families (with earlier fireworks!). Events on New Year’s Eve for kids in Brisbane 2025-2026

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed in Brisbane in 2025:

• South Bank Parklands, South Brisbane – The Parklands will come alive with fireworks set to music, plenty of food options, family-friendly spaces and safety measures to help everyone enjoy the night. Find out more.
• Carina Leagues Club, Carina – Ring in 2026 at Carina Leagues Club’s “Dance Through the Decades” New Year’s Eve party. Enjoy live music from 8pm with hits from the 70s to the 00s, followed by a DJ set from 11.30pm–2am. Kids can celebrate too with their own disco in the Playland. A fun night for all ages!. • Aspley Hornets, Aspley, from 4:30pm – The Annual NYE Outdoor Event promises an unforgettable evening with food trucks, bars, rides, face painting, and more. The night features a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm to light up the celebrations. This free community event invites everyone to gather with friends and family to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026 in festive style. Find out more.
• Broncos Leagues Club, Ashgrove, from 5:30pm – The Car Park Party returns with free, family-friendly summer fun. Enjoy live music, kids’ activities, food trucks and two laser shows, including a special kids’ show at 7.30pm. Find out more 

Events on New Year’s Eve for kids in Redlands 2025-2026

The following New Years Eve Events have been confirmed for Redlands in 2025

• Little Bayside Park, Manly, 7pm – midnight – Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Little Bayside Park with family-friendly fun, live entertainment, food trucks, and a festive atmosphere. Enjoy movies for kids, an 8pm and midnight fireworks display, and bring a picnic rug or chairs to soak up the summer night as the Bayside welcomes 2026. Find out more
• Victoria Point Lakeside, Victoria Point, 5pm – 9:30pm – New Year’s Eve celebration returns with live entertainment, food trucks, market stalls and family activities, ending with a festive fireworks display. Find out more

Events on New Year’s Eve for kids in Ipswich 2025-2026

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed in Ipswich in 2025:

• Various vantage points throughout Ipswich – Celebrate New Year’s Eve with fireworks lighting up the skies across the region. Displays will launch at 9pm in Springfield Central, South Ripley, Ipswich Central, Chuwar and Goodna. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the show from nearby open spaces or even from home if you have a clear line of sight. Find out more.
• Springfield Central Sports Complex, Springfield Central – New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 9pm. There are no associated events alongside the fireworks display.  Find out more.
• Limestone Park, Ipswich – New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 9pm. There are no associated events alongside the fireworks display. Find out more
• Rosewood Showgrounds, Rosewood – New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 9pm. Look for a clear line of sight in the skies above the Rosewood Showgrounds. Best public viewing from Tom Lenihan Park, Rosewood. There are no associated events alongside the fireworks display. Find out more

Events on New Year’s Eve for kids on the Sunshine Coast 2025-2026

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed on the Sunshine Coast in 2025:

• Coolum Beach (near Coolum Surf Club), Coolum – New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 8:30pm. Find out more.
• Mooloolaba Esplanade, Mooloolaba – Welcome the New Year with 8.30pm and midnight fireworks launched from an offshore barge. Families can enjoy views along the coastline, light entertainment, roving performers and food trucks from 5pm–midnight. Visitors are encouraged to plan travel ahead. Find out more.
• Kings Beach Amphitheatre, Caloundra, 4pm – 10pm – A family-friendly evening of food, fun and fireworks. Visitors can enjoy food trucks, children’s rides, face painting, and picnic-friendly entertainment, all set against the stunning coastal backdrop. The night concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm, creating a festive celebration that has become a much-loved Sunshine Coast tradition. Find out more.

Events on New Year’s Eve for kids on the Gold Coast 2025-2026

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed on the Gold Coast in 2025:

• Surfers Paradise Foreshore, Near Surfers Paradise Sign, Surfers Paradise, 8pm and midnight 
  Say sayonara to 2025 in true Gold Coast style with a dazzling fireworks spectacular lighting up Surfers Paradise Beach at 8pm and midnight. There will be a lot of road closures and detours so arrive early and consider public transport. Find out more 
• The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands, Southport, 4pm – 8pm – Celebrate New Year’s Eve on the Gold Coast with a family-friendly seaside event full of entertainment, food trucks, and fun activities. Kids can enjoy bubbles, face painting, crafts, and roving stilt walkers, while adults relax with live music. The night culminates with an 8pm fireworks display over the Broadwater. Pack a picnic and welcome 2026 in a festive, alcohol-free atmosphere. Find out more.
• Paradise Point Parklands, Paradise Point. 5pm – 9pm – Paradise Point Parklands will host a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration with free face-painting, a Lions Club sausage sizzle, glow products, and large AV screens for the best view. • Waterfront Stage, Varsity Lakes, 5:30pm – 8:30pm – Celebrate the final night of the year with a family-friendly evening at Lake Orr, featuring live music, food trucks, and activities for children. Visitors can bring a picnic blanket and relax by the lake while enjoying the festivities, which culminate in a spectacular fireworks display, offering a fun and festive way for families and friends to ring in the New Year together. • Coomera Sports Park, Coomera – Coomera’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Coomera Sports Park invites the community to farewell 2025 with music, food trucks and an 8pm family-friendly fireworks display. • Thorn Park, Miami, 4pm – 8pm – Miami Twilight NYE at Thorn Park offers a free, family-friendly early New Year’s Eve celebration with DJ tunes, the New Year Express train, inflatables, arts and crafts, face painting, and food trucks. • Harley Park, Labrador, 6pm – 9pm – Harley Park will host its New Year’s Eve Celebration 2025 at the foreshore, offering a free, family-friendly evening of entertainment, food, and fireworks. • North Kirra SLSC, North Kirra, 4pm – 8pm – North Kirra SLSC will host its annual Community New Year’s Eve Fireworks on 31 December, featuring plenty of activities for kids and a fireworks display from 7.30pm. • The Promenade, Robina Town Centre, 4pm – 9pm – Celebrate New Year’s Eve on The Promenade with live music, family entertainment, carnival rides, inflatables, and face painting from 4pm. Events on New Year’s Eve for kids in City of Moreton Bay 2025-2026

• Bongaree Park Bribie Island, 4pm- 10pm Thanks to the Rotary Club at Bribie Island, this years carnival will go ahead. Expect food trucks, amusement rides, coffee and an unusual time of fireworks at 10pm (this is due to the migratory bird life in the region). Find out more
