If you’re looking to celebrate the new year with your family, there are plenty of fun and family-friendly events in Brisbane that will provide something for everyone.

Remember, New Year’s Eve doesn’t have to be about staying up until midnight!

The kid-friendly New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Brisbane calendar provide a wonderful opportunity to involve your Brisbane Kids in the festivities, with many events starting earlier in the evening to cater for families (with earlier fireworks!). 🎆 Events on New Year’s Eve for kids in Brisbane 2024-2025

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed in Brisbane in 2024:

• Carina Leagues Club, Carina – Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a trip back to the 80s at Carina Leagues Club. Enjoy live 80s music from Boombox 80s, DJ sets, delicious food and drinks, and a photo booth to capture the fun. Kids can enjoy the Playland, face painting, and balloon art. Bookings are recommended. • South Bank Parkland, South Brisbane – Welcome the New Year in style at The Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks at South Bank. Enjoy two dazzling fireworks shows, with a family-friendly display at 7:45pm and a midnight spectacular to ring in 2025. Top viewing spots include Clem Jones Promenade, the Cultural Forecourt, Riverside Green, and River Quay. Find out more.
• Aspley Hornets, Aspley, from 4:30pm – The Annual NYE Outdoor Event promises an unforgettable evening with food trucks, bars, rides, face painting, and more. The night features a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm to light up the celebrations. 🎆 Events on New Year’s Eve for kids in Ipswich 2024-2025

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed in Ipswich in 2024:

• Tivoli Drive In, Tivoli, from 4pm – Tivoli Drive In is celebrating the new year with a BANG. Fireworks, market stalls, food trucks and of course; live entertainment will hit the big screen this year. New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 9pm. Find out more.
• Springfield Central Sports Complex, Springfield Central,  – New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 9pm. There are no associated events alongside the fireworks display.  Find out more.
• Ironbark Park, South Ripley, 6pm – 9pm – Providence is hosting a Family Fiesta at Market Green, Harmony Way, from 6-9pm on New Year’s Eve. The event features live music, food trucks, inflatables for the kids, free face painting, and roving entertainers. The evening concludes with a spectacular 9pm fireworks display presented by ICC to welcome 2025 with a bang. Find out more. 
• Club Parkview, Goodna – Club Parkview is celebrating New Year’s Eve with an 80s-themed night filled with fun, music, and entertainment. The evening includes a face painter for the kids in the Bistro from 6-9pm, live music by Urban Flow Duo from 8:30pm, a free photo booth, and a 9pm fireworks show. Entry is free, making it a family-friendly event, with plenty of fun for kids and late-night celebrations for adults. Bookings are required. Find out more

🎆 Events on New Year’s Eve for kids on the Sunshine Coast 2024-2025

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed on the Sunshine Coast in 2024:

• Coolum Beach (near Coolum Surf Club), Coolum – New Year’s Eve Fireworks at 8:30pm. Find out more.
• Mooloolaba Esplanade, Mooloolaba, 5pm – 10pm – Celebrate New Year’s Eve with family and friends at a free community event in Mooloolaba! You’ll find roving entertainment and face painting for the kids, food trucks and getting there will be a breeze with a range of active and public transport options. • Kings Beach Amphitheatre, Caloundra, 4pm – 10pm – Fireworks, Food Trucks & Family Fun at Caloundra NYE Celebrations.Starting at 4pm on December 31, 2024, the Kings Beach Amphitheatre will transform into a vibrant hub of activity. The stunning beachside setting and a plethora of activities to keep everyone entertained. For the little ones, there are kids rides and face painting, ensuring they have a blast while you relax and soak in the festive atmosphere. As the sun sets, grab a spot on the grass for a movie under the stars, starting at 7.45pm. It’s the perfect opportunity for a family picnic, so pack your blankets and settle in for a cozy evening. • Nelson Reserve, Gympie, 5pm – 9:30pm – New Years Eve in Gympie – There’ll be plenty to do with scrumptious food stalls, activities for the kids and fireworks that’ll be sure to have everyone grinning from ear to ear. 🎆 Events on New Year’s Eve for kids on the Gold Coast 2024-2025

The following New Year’s Eve events have been confirmed on the Gold Coast in 2024:

• Surfers Paradise Foreshore, Surfers Paradise – New Year’s Eve fireworks at 9pm. There are no associated events alongside the fireworks display. Find out more.
• The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands, Southport, 4pm – 8pm – Broadwater Parklands is celebrating New Year’s Eve with a Country-Western party packed with free family fun, live music, and spectacular fireworks. Activities include an animal petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, kids’ crafts, sporting fun, giant bubbles, roving performances, and stilt walkers. The evening also features an attempt at the Gold Coast’s biggest-ever Nutbush dance, captured by drones, for a memorable start to the new year. Find out more.
• Paradise Point Parklands, Paradise Point. 5pm – 9pm – The celebration kicks off at 5pm with free face-painting, electrifying performances from The Amplify Band and the talented singers and dancers of Sheridan’s Studio 1. • Harley Park, Labrador, 6pm – 9pm – A spectacular family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration at Harley Park! This carnival-inspired event promises a night full of excitement and entertainment for all ages. Enjoy delicious food from local food trucks, and be captivated by live performances from talented entertainers. The vibe will be electric with a live DJ spinning the best tunes, building up to an incredible fireworks display to ring in the new year. • Silver Bridle Park, Molendinar, 4pm – 7pm – Celebrate the arrival of 2025 with an unforgettable New Year’s Eve event.
  This family-friendly celebration promises an evening filled with activities and entertainment for all ages. From live music to kid-friendly attractions, it’s the perfect way to ring in the New Year together with your community. No Fireworks at this event. Find out more
• North Kirra SLSC, North Kirra, 4pm – 8pm – North Kirra SLSC is hosting a family-friendly New Year’s Eve Community Fireworks Event. The festivities include fireworks at 7:30pm, a jumping castle, and face painting (available 5-7pm). Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic rugs, and there will be food, drinks, and glowsticks available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the North Kirra Surf Life Saving Club. Find out more.
• The Promenade, Robina Town Centre, 4pm – 9pm – Dress in your best sparkly fit and join us for a night of live music, family entertainment and fireworks on The Promenade. Carnival-style rides including a super slide, cup and saucer ride and inflatable course, as well as face painting, stilt walkers and a photo booth to keep the whole family entertained.
