Brisbane Powerhouse and Flipside Circus presents Pretty Pretty Please at the Brisbane Powerhouse during the winter school holidays in July 2016.

Be prepared to be amazed as the talented team from Flipside Circus take the audience on a roller coaster ride through the questions, answers, challenges and discoveries of asking for what kids want. The show explores the secrets and tactics to asking for, and getting, what you really want like ice cream for dinner, without any adults getting in the way.

The show is of course presented through circus storytelling in the effortless style that Flipside Circus has been able to perfect in all their performances over the past years. The young cast will show off their talents as they perform amazing acrobatics, incredible handstands, astounding aerials and earnest clowning leaving the crowd wanting more and really exploring how it is that kids can get their own way! Through the circus antics, the importance of hard work, resilience, effort and team work will be the underlying message that the audience will ponder throughout the show.

The show, however, is about much more than just entertaining the audience, it’s also about the opportunity the cast of extremely talented young actors get performing in front of a crowd and the process of perfecting their craft. For years, Flipside Circus have been part of an ongoing revolution to be the best youth circus company in Australia that delivers shows that the young cast have ownership of and which helps to develop confidence and sense of purpose. The cast began preparing for the show with a week-long development earlier this year and the young performers have been training three times a week at the Flipside training centre in Alderley in preparation for the season.

Flipside’s team of trainers includes some of the best circus trainers and artists in Australia. They teach the core skills needed to develop strong and intelligent circus artists as well as the fundamental skills young people need to develop as strong and thoughtful human beings.

This energetic and fun production of Pretty Pretty Please by Flipside Circus will capture the imagination and entertain audiences young and old making it a must see show for this school holiday season.

All shows are on in the Powerhouse Theatre at Brisbane Powerhouse, 119 Lamington Street, New Farm.

• Wednesday 6th July: 6pm
• Thursday 7th July: 6pm
• Friday 8th July: 11am and 2pm
• Saturday 9th July : 11am and 2pm

The performance is 60 minutes in duration and does not include an interval.
