  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to doโ€ฆ

Sunday Markets on the Gold Coast

Views of Surfers Paradise from SkyPoint Observation Deck.

Browsing the aisles at weekend markets is a fun past time for many Queenslanders. When you can combine a Sunday market visit, with a day trip to the Gold Coast, and plenty of other family-friendly activities, you have a winning combination.

Discover the best Sunday Markets on the Gold Coast and stay awhile to explore all the region has to offer.

Sunday Markets โ€“ Before You Go

 Person browsing markets.

Double check details – Avoid disappointment by checking individual websites or social media pages prior to visiting, to confirm opening hours and offerings, especially if there is adverse weather forecast.

Arrive Early โ€“ Where possible arrive early to get the best bargains, avoid disappointment of goods selling out and to miss the heat of the day.

BYO Bags – Bring along your own shopping bags to carry your purchases in.

Bring Some Cash โ€“ While most vendors accept EPTPOS, it might be an idea to bring along a small amount of cash, just in case the systems go down or the stallholders accept cash only.

HOTA Farmers and Artisan Markets

HOTA Farmers and Artisan Markets Gold Coast

Come rain, hail or shine, the HOTA Farmers and Artisan Markets are on each Sunday and are a delightful, community focussed market held at the HOTA Cultural Precinct.

With the picturesque Evendale Lake as a backdrop, the rows of stalls at this Gold Coast market showcase farm-fresh produce, artisan foods, handcrafted wares, and all the goods you would expect to find at a local market.

To create a family-friendly atmosphere, local artists are supported, and live music fills the air. Enjoy browsing the stalls, chatting to the vendors and sampling the delicious food.

The Sunday Markets at HOTA are easily accessible by car, bicycle and public transport. Visitors can even arrive via the Hop Gold Coast Ferry, utilising the HOTA Express Service, which departs from the Surfers Paradise Wharf every 15 minutes from 7am โ€“ 10am.

These Burleigh Heads markets are situated perfectly at Justins Park, on the waterfront, between the Headland and North Burleigh. Known as one of the original art and craft markets on the coast, visitors will enjoy browsing the large variety of goods in this gorgeous location.

Take in the views, relaxing vibe and family-friendly atmosphere staying awhile to recharge, enjoy the music and maybe even treat yourself to something delicious to eat.

From one-of-a-kind t-shirts, funky sunglasses and jewellery and unique paintings and handmade goods. Fresh produce, yummy food and live music can also be found at these Sunday markets

If arriving by car, park safely in a street nearby and enjoy a leisurely stroll around Broadbeach and along the beachfront, before visiting the market.

While you are in the area, make sure you take time to visit the super fun playground at Pratten Park. If it is too busy on market day, perhaps pop back at another time.
