QPAC, in association with The Works Entertainment, are excited to present The Illusionists: Direct from Broadway, performing from the 9th to the 19th January during the 2019 summer school holidays.
The Illusionists: Direct From Broadway
Described as “Magic’s Cirque du Soleil”, “mind blowing”, “jaw dropping” and “brain-bendingly spectacular” the critically acclaimed The Illusionists: Direct From Broadway heads to Brisbane with seven of the most incredible illusionists on earth, who will perform a powerful mix of the most outrageous and astonishing acts ever to be seen on stage.
After selling out shows in the United States, South America, South Africa, the Middle East and Europe, The Illusionists are making their way back to Brisbane, with an all new show that features a home-grown star!
Brisbane-born Robyn Sharpe, aka The Warrior, who performs the thrilling crossbow act that has been described as “one of the most dynamic and dazzling danger displays in the world”, will feature as a headlining act in the show. It is sure to delight the home crowd as she performs this incredible trick alongside six of the world’s most talented magicians and artists.
For those who love magic and laughs, Paul Dabek, aka The Trickster, will go into his box of ticks and amaze the audience with his magic and jaw-dropping hilarity.
The Mentalist, aka Chris Cox, will appeal to those who are fascinated by how the mind works as he uses his mind manipulating techniques to wow the audience with a mischievous sense of magic and wonder that has been seen by over 300,000 people world-wide.
If you love to be surprised, Leonardo Bruno, known as The Alchemist, will captivate the entire audience with his one-of-a-kind style of magic that comes naturally to him as the grandson of one of the most important magicians in Mexico and Latin America.
Rounding out The Illusionists are The Showman, aka Mark Kalin, who will wow with amazing large scale illusions; The Conjuress, aka Jinger Leigh, a modern sorceress with a unique blend of elegance and theatricality; and finally Florian Sainvet, known as The Manipulator, who is a futuristic manipulator and illusionist.
This thrilling, high-tech magic extravaganza combines large-scale stunts, levitation, mind reading, disappearance and daredevilry in a show that redefines magic and challenges audience expectations. The Illusionists: Direct from Broadway, is a summer holiday performance that must be seen to be believed and is suitable for magic lovers of all ages.
