The Brisbane City Youth Ballet presents an amazing production of The Wizard of Oz at the Conservatorium Theatre, Griffith University in January 2019.
The Wizard of Oz
The all time classic story that has captured generation after generation of fans, The Wizard of OZ, is being brought to life on stage by the talented dancers at the Brisbane City Youth Ballet during the Christmas school holiday period.
More than 90 dancers will take to the stage in this breath taking production that features Dorothy, Tinman, The Lion, Scarecrow, Glenda the Good Witch, and all their friends, and enemies including the Witch Witch, as they go on their journey together to the Land of Oz.
A highlight of the stunning production is the amazing sets and costumes and as an added bonus of going to see the Brisbane City Youth Ballet perform The Wizard of Oz is that the ballerinas will come into the foyer to meet their fans after the show and you might even have the opportunity to meet, and get a photo with, your favourite character from the show.
Beautiful dancing, gorgeous sets and stunning costumes will enthrall the audience and take them on a beautiful journey and makes this show a must see performance not just for lovers of ballet, but for fans of The Wizard of Oz during the school holidays.
The Wizard of Oz Shows
All shows are on at the Conservatorium Theatre, Griffith University, South Bank. Performances are on the following days and times:
- Thursday 24 January @ 6.30pm
- Friday 25 January @ 11am & 3pm
- Saturday 26 January @ 11am & 3pm
The Wizard of Oz is 1 hour and 50 minutes in duration, including a 20 minute interval
