Triple P is an evidence-based program with over 35 years of research sitting behind the techniques within the course. Incredibly, there are more than 280 evaluation papers that show Triple P can work for families unhindered by culture, socio-economic and family structure differences.
Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is a program that teaches parents how to deal with and even prevent emotional and behavioural problems in children and adolescents. It provides simple and reliable solutions to navigate a whole range of parenting issues: from temper tantrums in toddlers to rebellion and aggression in teenagers. Through an interactive and flexible program, Triple P can give you the skills and confidence to correct bad behaviour, set boundaries, and build a positive relationship with your child.

Triple P online is free in Queensland. It is an easy, accessible way of learning new parenting skills and reinforcing the great skills you probably already have. They offer a few different parenting programs based on the age of your child. Details on these are listed below.
Triple P for parents with babies
For parents with newborn babies there is a specific online course for you. Once registered online you will be guided through some steps to make it more personalised by stating the age of your baby (or even if they are not born yet) and your confidence levels. You can then work your way through the following seven modules:

Module 2: Understanding your baby’s development
Module 3: Promoting your baby’s development
Module 4: Responding to your baby
Module 5: Survival skills
Module 6: Partner support
Module 7: Reviewing and maintaining progress
Triple P for parents of young kids
If you have young children or are looking for some helpful parenting tips before the birth of your first child, then the Triple P online course for young kids (aged 0 – 12) would be perfect for you.
One you have registered they aim to personalise the course more for you and so you will be asked to choose three things that you feel are the issues you would like to address the most. Things like bedtime, not listening, mealtime, disobedience when out shopping etc. You then rate on a scale how confident you are with dealing with the issues. Finally, they provide some tips to get the most out of your course. You are then directed to your course desktop where you can work your way through the following nine modules:

Much like the online course for younger kids, the Triple P program for teens and tweens follows a similar module-based learning online program. Catering for parents with children aged between 10 – 16 years, the list of issues you may want help with also includes things like help with things like devices and friendships etc. The following modules are covered in this program.

Fear-Less Triple P Online Course
Many children suffer from anxiety, be it in big or small ways, and this program is aimed to help parents develop the skills and confidence needed to help their child through this. Fear-Less Triple P has been developed by clinical psychologists Dr Vanessa Cobham, a specialist in the field of child anxiety and Dr. Matt Sanders, a world-renowned authority in the field of parenting. They are based at the University of Queensland, Australia. The strategies are derived from a lifetime of face-to-face clinical work with families. There are six modules available:
Module 1: Understanding anxiety
Module 2: Promoting emotional resilience
Module 3: Setting a good example and encouraging flexible, realistic thinking
Module 4: Overcoming avoidance
Module 5: Responding to children’s anxiety
Module 6: Constructive problem-solving and maintaining progress.
Triple P for parents of kids with a disability
Whilst the Stepping Stones program for parents of kids with a disability is no longer available, the Triple P program offers a lot of advice and assistance for helping parents navigate their way through difficult situations and issues.
