  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to doโ€ฆ

White Ridge Farm – Brisbane Farm Experience

Last Updated: May 23, 2025
Sign on old truck at entrance of White Ridge Farm.

Have you ever seen a unigoat – a goat with one horn? Well, if you havenโ€™t and you want to see one, head to White Ridge Farm for the ultimate Brisbane farm experience!

Set on 20 acres north of Brisbane, you’ll find White Ridge Farm, a gorgeous family-owned and operated business offering visitors the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of animals.

Guests can hand-feed animals, talk to the birds in the aviaries, head into the petting enclosure, play putt putt or have fun in the play areas. If you are lucky enough, you may even get to see baby goats or playful piglets.

Farm Activities at White Ridge Farm

Animal Feeding

Start your visit by taking a walk around the farm and feeding some of the animals with the cup of feed provided when you enter. Make sure you pace yourself though as there are plenty of hungry animals including llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep and chickens, just to name a few.

TIP: Don’t wear your best shoes – the farm can be dusty or muddy (depending on the weather) and contains scatterings of animal manure! Enclosed shoes are recommended.

Petting Area

If you have a tactile Brisbane Kid make sure you head to the designated interactive petting area. It is here you can sit down and cuddle a chicken, brush a goat or stroke a guinea pig or very fluffy rabbit.

Hay Rides (Tractor Ride)

Included in your admission fee is a hayride (tractor ride). Climb aboard the trailer that is towed by a tractor and get comfy as you are driven around the adjacent paddocks. Keep alert as there are many interesting items to spot such as crazy cows, fairies, a unicorn and dinosaurs. The ride takes approximately 10 minutes and runs regularly throughout the day.

Train Ride

Also included in your admission is a ride on the little train. While you are being driven around the paddocks you can hear all about the history of White Ridge Farm via informative commentary.

Fun Activities at White Ridge Farm

Playground

After spending some time with the animals, head to the playground area and let the little ones burn off some energy. Children can explore the play equipment, swing across the monkey bars, play with the toy trucks in the sand pit or wander around and discover other activities in the playground.

Putt Putt Golf

Included in your entry is the use of the 9-hole putt putt golf course. You are free to come and go to this area as many times as you like, so grab a club and ball and see if you can score a hole in one.

Fossil Dig

Buried in the sand at White Ridge Farm is the fossils of a T-Rex dinosaur. Your little ones will be kept busy as they dig, brush and burrow trying to locate the fossils.

Photo Opportunities

Make sure you bring the camera when you visit the farm as there are plenty of brilliant photo opportunities.

Try and grab a selfie with a camel, take a Boomerang picture of a funky chicken or snap a photo of the quirky looking llamas and alpacas.

Aside from the farm animals, there are also other photos opportunities aboard the old farm equipment or with one of the more stationary animals such as the camel, dog or even the cow (which you can use to practice your milking skills)!!!

Have a Picnic

When you have finished feeding the animals, take a break and feed yourselves. There are plenty of shaded tables and chairs around the property where you can bring your own picnic and enjoy a bite to eat.

Drinks and snacks are also available to purchase from the shop at the entrance.

Accessibility at White Ridge Farm

White Ridge Farm is accessible for all abilities, prams and wheelchairs. A large asphalt pathway runs throughout most parts of the farm enabling visitors to feed and interact with most animals from the path.

Accessing some of the enclosures could be an issue for some people as the ground can be uneven and at times there may be a small fence to step over. There is plenty of shade, accessible toilets and baby change facilities at White Ridge Farm.

Educational Farm Experience

Aside from getting hands-on with the animals, a visit to White Ridge Farm will also have you learning lots of interesting animal facts from the friendly staff.

Do you know one of the main differences between a llama and an alpaca? A llama has banana shaped ears and an alpaca has short, pointy ears!!

Schools, educational facilities or other organised groups are also welcome to visit the farm. Alternatively, a mobile animal farm is also available to attend schools, Brisbane daycares, nursing homes or fetes. Contact the farm to make a booking.
