Way more than just a local swimming pool, Bellbowrie Pool is a leisure centre and hub of the local community. It has something for all the family to enjoy, bags of space and exciting community events too!
Bellbowrie Pool is located on Birkin Road, Bellbowrie. It boasts a 50 metre outdoor pool (not heated) with eight lanes and shade sail over part of the shallow end, as well as a 25 metre heated partially enclosed, fully shaded pool. Other Bellbowrie Pool features include two shaded toddler wading pools, and a great splash water play pad with water squirters and tipping bucket.
The grounds of the Bellbowrie Pool are really extensive, with large grassy areas where kids can run around. There’s even a basketball area where you can shoot some hoops. There are lots of shades, including a shaded spectator stand and shaded tables and chairs. There is also a lovely onsite cafe with great covered seating area overlooking the grounds, so you can grab a bite to eat and stay all day.

Keep Watch Pool Safety Program at Brisbane City Council Pools
Brisbane City Council public pools are part of the Keep Watch pool safety program established by the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia. This program aims to prevent childhood drownings by setting out these guidelines:
0-5 year olds & non-swimmers — Parent or guardian within arms’ reach and present in the water at all times.
6-10 year olds — Parent or guardian showing constant active supervision and prepared to get wet and enter the water when necessary.
11-14 year olds — Parent or guardian present to regularly and physically check on the child.
By enforcing these guidelines, Brisbane City Council hopes to prevent all drowning incidents at council pools.
