Casuarina Park at Victoria Point is going to impress the most discerning climbers, explorers, adventure seeking, nature loving kids who enjoy a challenge and fun adrenaline buzz!
Casuarina Park Playground
Come on down to a playground for adventurers, confident climbers and people who love a rich rustic nature vibe.
Casuarina Park has a fun and playful design inspired by local casuarina seed pods and the black cockatoo, with the park reflecting indigenous perspectives and site stories.
The large bespoke play structure provides a great climbing challenge, requiring strategy and problem solving to conquer it. Once at the top there is a seat to rest on plus sound pipes and game boards to play. To descend there is the large covered slide, a bridge or a vertical shoot to scale.
Casuarina Park’s focus is on nature play and exploration. Built into the natural topography of the land there are logs to balance on, sandstone blocks to climb, paths to meander, steps to play on and sandpits to dig in. Mount Cotton the “Western Wind” as it is traditionally known can be seen from the park, creating a beautiful connection to the surrounding area.
This a dream playground for kids who want to explore and make up their own impromptu games inspired by their surroundings.
Note – Unfortunately there are NO toilets at this park.
Imagination Factor at Casuarina Park
Casuarina Park is a wonderland for creativity, nature and sensory play. The perfect space to create sand sculptures, setup a mud pie bakery and make your own obstacle course.
There are plenty of hidden bronze insects and creatures throughout the playground as well as stencil cut-out images to inspire treasure hunts. Perhaps bring some sand toys and automobiles.
Accessibility at Casuarina Park
Paths weaving into the playground from the street makes this playground moderately accessible for those with wheelchairs, prams and walking aides. Casuarina Park is on a hill which makes accessing all parts of the playground tricky as there are some steps.
Unfortunately this playground has no toilets and is unfenced.

We loved visiting Casuarina Park!
From the moment we got out of the car we were intrigued to explore and discover all it had to offer. Our favourite part was definitely the large covered slide despite it looking daunting. Balancing on logs and rocks was also a highlight.
We left with a feeling of tranquillity; definitely a space for people of all ages.
