Christmas in Brisbane City for families is always amazing and 2025 is no different! Brisbane Kids are so lucky to live in a great city where each year they can experience a truly magical family Christmas adventure.

Listed below are all free activities in the Christmas in Brisbane program. We are pretty sure you will have a hard time choosing which of these events to attend and will end up seeing many, if not all of them, by the time Christmas Eve arrives! 

Christmas in Brisbane 2025 – City-Wide Festive Events

Cost: Many events are free; ticketed sessions start from $5–$9.50 depending on activity

Celebrate the magic of Christmas in Brisbane City with a month-long calendar of light displays, carols, festive shows, markets, and family entertainment. From the twinkling paths of The Enchanted Garden to the sparkling City Hall Lights and free roving performances in Queen Street Mall, there’s something to delight every member of the family.

Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree – King George Square

Kick off the festive season with Santa, live performances, and the official lighting of the Brisbane City Christmas tree in King George Square. Plus, don’t miss a special performance by Dylan Wright.

Christmas Tiny Doors – Various City Locations

1–24 December | Free
Hunt for miniature Christmas-themed doors hidden across the city, created by local artist Mace Robertson.

A Christmas Dreamscape (NEW) – Queen Street Mall Stage
