If you are looking for a fun treat for the kids this Easter then have a look at these gorgeously funny Easter Bunny Marshmallow Pops. Super cute and a delicious treat for any marshmallow lovers out there (all kids basically), below is a step-by-step guide to how to make these.
What you will need
- Pink and White marshmallows (The So Soft Marshmallow Co. ones are perfect for these)
- White chocolate melts
- Pink heart candy / pink sugar balls
- Candy sticks
- Candy eyes
- Icing pen / edible pen
- Scissors
- Ribbon (for decoration at end only)
Step 1
Keep the white marshmallows whole, but cut up some of the pink marshmallows in half (lengthways). Cut each half again in half so that you have four pieces and then cut each of these quarters into half again until you have EIGHT sections of each marshmallow. These will form the bunny ears.
Step 2
Melt a handful of the white melts in a heat-proof bowl over a simmering pot of water. The water level in the pop should only be a few centimetres deep and the chocolate should melt pretty quickly.
Step 3
Using the melted white chocolate as your ‘glue’, add the candy eyes and pink sugar balls or pink hearts to the marshmallows.
HINT: It is easier to apply the chocolate to the back of the eyes and candy with a large kebab stick.
Step 4
With your icing pen (or edible pen if you can get your hands on one) draw on the bunny mouth (and eyelashes if you like).
Step 5
Next up, once again using the melted white chocolate, stick the bunny ears to the top of the white marshmallows. Allow these to cool and set completely.
Step 6
While you are waiting for all of the melted chocolate to set, tie some bows onto the candy sticks.
Step 7
When everything is set and secured, add the marshmallow bunny heads to the candy sticks and voila! Enjoy your super cute little bunny marshmallow pops. Yum!
