  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to doโ€ฆ

Logan Village Playground review

Last updated: January 11, 2023

Logan City is home to some incredible and unique playgrounds, and even among the extensive list, the Logan Village adventure playground is a stand-out attraction.  With a mega slide with a cool birdhouse and bird nest platforms, long flying fox, inground trampolines and next to an incredible skate park, this Logan playground is worth the drive.

Logan Village Playground

Get ready for a playground that packs in the wow factor!  The giant PLAY letters welcome visitors and set the tone for this fantastic space.

The highlight for us is the mega slide, with a fun and impressive climb up to the top via logs and net tunnels and through several platforms, including some that resemble a birdhouse and a birds nest.  Thereโ€™s also a mini slide off the bottom platform.

This Logan park also has a balancing obstacle section including natural stumps, logs and ropes to test the balance of visitors. The shaded soft play section has multiple swings for visitors of different abilities.

There are three inground trampoline pads and a ground-level round-about that is fun for all visitors and accessible for people in wheelchairs.

A flying fox takes centre stage in the playground, and posts with ropes between them for balancing.  The playground also features a dry creek bed with rocks, large sandstone blocks, lawn areas for kids to climb and play, and a grassy hill.

Plenty of seating, covered picnic tables and a barbecue make this an excellent park for family gatherings and celebrations.  There are shade sails over the soft fall areas and some trees which provide a bit of shelter from the sun, which will only increase as the trees grow and mature.

The Logan Village playground shares the Logan Village Green with a large grassy field, a basketball half-court and one of Logan’s best skate parks (check out the full skate park review here).  There are public toilets located near the playground on the green.

Logan Village Playground Imagination Factor

This playground has a strong nature play aspect, with lots of timber and stone elements that encourage children to explore and interact with their natural environment.  The metal igloo frame in the centre of the playground can become a cubby or a campfire, and the suspended nest and birdhouse structures on the approach to the mega slide might be home to fierce dragons or soaring eagles.

Brisbane Kids might challenge each other to a game of โ€˜the floor is lavaโ€™ over at the obstacle section or see who can pull off the coolest poses at the top of their trampoline jumps.

Accessibility at Logan Village Playground

logan village playground a variety of swings

While much of this playground is over a sand base, there are elements with accessibility in mind, especially the variety of swings available, including a solid backed swing, and the merry go round level with the soft fall.  There are accessible toilets here and the concrete paths are flat and wide, which is great for wheelchairs and bikes and scooters.
