Prepare for an adventure at Mountain Park in Spring Mountain, which offers stunning views that are seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape. With amenities like toilets, BBQs, a fenced dog park, walking trails, and a striking playground, it’s an ideal spot for a family outing.
Mountain Park Playground
This is a visually impressive playground!
Its rugged appearance takes advantage of the landscape’s hillside rock formations. The playground consists of five interconnected rocky monolith structures joined by bridges and a rope tunnel. The rocky structures also create many cubby-like hiding places for curious little explorers.
Twin metal tunnel slides are a central feature. To enjoy the ride down, children first need to scale the rubber-covered hillside or use the cliff climbers to reach the top of the escarpment.
At the elevated level, you’ll find two flying foxes that offer an exhilarating race through the air with a friend. Additionally, there’s a firefighter’s pole for a swift descent to the lower level. Once there, you’ll discover an infant swing and a classic regular swing, providing some gentle fun for everyone.
Winding decking leads adventures along a musical trail with drums and chimes to play upon.
On the ground level, toddlers can enjoy a tiny disc balance bridge and rope, both very close to the ground. There is also a wide slide built into the sloped hillside.
Dinosaur fans can get their fill with several information boards displaying facts about local dinosaurs. There are also several large fossil-like dinosaur footprints hidden amongst the bark of the playground.
Meandering pathways lead from the playground and take visitors on an adventurous journey through the native bushland, providing moments of tranquillity amongst the natural greenery.
Imagination Factor at Mountain Park
Read the information signs to learn more about dinosaurs from our regional prehistoric past before hunting for dinosaur tracks in the bark.
Challenge friends to an energetic game of tiggy or hide-and-seek, racing up and down the embankment while weaving in and out of the equipment.
Accessibility at Mountain Park
Access the Mountain Park is via a flat concrete pathway from the car park. While there are accessible toilets, the playground’s multiple levels may pose as a challenge for individuals using wheelchairs and waling aides.
Due to the hillside layout, it may be difficult for a parent to supervise an infant in a pram while a toddler climbs the embankment.
