Neal Macrossan Park playground
Neal Macrossan park is a lovely fenced playground adjacent to Ithaca Pool & Paddington Community Centre. This inner-city Brisbane park suits kids of all ages and presents the ideal chance to chill out with an awesome cup of coffee and relax while your Brisbane Kids have fun and wear themselves out.
Located right across from Suncorp Stadium, Neal Macrossan Park would be a great place to go and relax before a game or stadium event if you were considering taking the kids. There is a popular wobbly rope bridge, climbing net, fort, slippery slides and more to amuse your children for hours.
Separately from the playground, you will find a tennis court and a skate bowl just out of sight from the main park. There’s also a fully fenced dog park next to the playground – perfect for kids who love spotting doggies from a distance but are safe behind a fence.
Imagination Factor
Wobbly rope bridges and timber forts always speak of billy goats gruff and trolls… a story worth telling before perhaps? The play equipment in the lower, more colourful play area provides imaginative role play such as flying their own helicopter, sailing the seven seas, or fishing for that catch of the day. The sheer amount of space and things to do in this park means that Brisbane Kids can create their own adventures within the safely fenced confines without wandering on to the surrounding busy streets.
Acessibility
A fenced playground is ideal for kids with special needs such as autism, with multiple births and mums with many kids, or those who like running.
It’s a great park for birthday parties and kids of a wide age range, with colourful play equipment for younger Brisbane Kids in the lower area and a huge timber fort in the upper area. The adjacent basketball courts and skate bowl are perfect for teens. Trees and shade sails provide plenty of shade in both areas, with many seating options. There are toilets with disabled access.

What we thought of Neal Maccrossan Park
Neal Maccrossan Park isn’t the biggest park, but we love that it is a fenced park because it took a lot of pressure of us with multiple kids and a touch of sleep deprivation. Just be mindful of it being so close to Suncorp as it can get really tricky to get a park even with the parking restrictions that are in place.
