Step back in time, do a spot of shopping, have a bite to eat and let the kids play at the charming Old Petrie Town. The markets have been operating for more than 30 years on Brisbane’s northside and are a favourite among locals and visitors, particularly during the cooler months.
Visiting the Old Petrie Town Markets is a wonderful, inter-generational day out. There is something for everyone: – markets stalls, food vendors, activities for the children, museums and beautiful grounds to explore (be sure to find the massive Moreton Bay Fig Trees).
Whilst the Sunday markets are a regular event, there are also other specialty market events throughout the year, including Twilight markets. Old Petrie Town is usually fully operational on market days, but certain components are also open during other times and by prior booking.
Many hidden gems can be found throughout the grounds, so be sure to take your time and explore all Old Petrie Town has to offer.
