The colour, fun and excitement of KiteFest is returning again this year with more entertainment and kites of all shapes and sizes to fill the sky on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2024.
Redcliffe KiteFest 2024
The Redcliffe KiteFest features a program bursting with fun activities, roving performers, water shows, and live entertainment for both young and old; making it the perfect day out for any family.
Not only about the kites, the 2024 Redcliffe KiteFest includes fun family entertainment from Emma Memma, Wildlife Unleashed nature shows, Red Music and Dance, and more – all included in your low-cost entry ticket. On top of this, you can make a whole day of it with the food and drink stalls, amusement rides, workshops, and the Hot Wheels Team Fun Zone!
Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena at Redcliffe KiteFest
The main attraction at the Redcliffe KiteFest has to be the beautiful kites that fill the sky. This year, the world’s best kite flyers will be flying their creations over Redcliffe . Kites flyers from Malaysia, China, New Zealand, and Australia will amaze the crowds with their stunts and majestic kites, which will include some of the world’s biggest kites.
This year you will also be able to make your own kite to fly in the sky. The kite-making workshops will operate daily and there will be experts on hand to show you the tricks of the trade as you fly your kite in the public kite flying zone. Kites will be flying each day from 9am – 4pm.
Kitefest Kids’ Zone
The Kitefest Kids Zone is an area just for Brisbane Kids featuring free and low-cost activities just for kids. There is also a dedicated kids stage in this area, which features several children’s shows throughout the days of KiteFest, as well as free workshops, an animal farm, pony rides, and more.
Sesame Lane Main Stage
The KiteFest main stage brings together a showcase of the best artists from around South East Queensland. This year, the main stage will feature a range of local artists who will have everyone up and dancing. A highlight for all Brisbane Kids will be Emma Memma appearing live on stage in her very own show, as well as The Fabulous Lemon Drops.
Aerobatic Displays
There will also be a once daily aerobatic display! Watch as a classic aircraft effortlessly loops, dips and zooms through the sky.

KiteFest Karnival Amusement Rides
KiteFest rides are always a highlight at KiteFest and this zone features rides for young and old. Grab an all day ride pass for $30 per person (valid only on the day you are attending), and enjoy more rides than ever before with something suitable for everyone from the littlies to the ultimate thrill seeker.

COST: Adults (16+) $14.30 | Children (3-15 years) & Concessions $8.70 | Children under 3 free, but must register for a ticket. Prices include booking fees and are valid for one day of KiteFest (Saturday or Sunday) only.
