Learn to skate at Skateaway Albany Creek
Every Saturday morning (9am – 10am), skaters can enjoy a Learn to Skate & Blade class at Skateaway Albany Creek. This one-hour class is conducted by qualified and experienced coaches and follows the Skateaway Star Class Program which includes regular testing of skaters and feedback.
The Skateaway Star Class Program has three levels, commencing at the very basic level and gradually moving through to more technical skills of both quad and inline skating. All levels are suitable for people of all ages and fitness on blades or traditional quad skates. Included in the star levels are two additional, more specialised groups – one for the first time/beginner skaters, and one just for adults.
General skate sessions
Fully supervised sessions throughout the school term are on offer at Skateaway Albany Creek on Saturdays (10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm) and Sundays (10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm). These sessions are always a heap of fun, and a great opportunity to practice those skating skills. Bookings are not required for general skate sessions.
School & public holidays
Skateaway offers even more opportunities to skate throughout the school holidays! These fully supervised sessions are held on Monday to Sunday in the mornings (10am – 12pm) and afternoons (2pm – 4pm), as well as Tuesday evenings (6pm – 9m) and Friday and Saturday evenings (6pm – 9pm).
Night time skate
If you’re looking for a fun evening activity with the family, check out Skateaway’s Tuesday evening (6pm – 8pm), Friday evening (6pm – 9pm) or Saturday evening (6pm – 9pm) sessions!
Coffee Skate
‘Coffee Skate’ sessions at Skateaway are held every Wednesday morning (10:30am – 12pm) during the school term (these are not held in the school holidays). All skating levels are welcome at these sessions, which provide 1 1/2 hours of great exercise in air conditioned comfort. This laid-back skating session lets you get your roll on, without games or interruptions. No bookings are required.
Skate or blade hire
Don’t have your own skates? That’s ok! Hire skates or blades at Skateaway Albany Creek for a small fee on top of your entry. Skate Mates for little learners are also available to hire.
Discounted entry to Skateaway Albany Creek
Buy a Family of 4 Pass at Skateaway Albany Creek and enjoy discounted entry for 2 adults and 2 children (not valid for classes). This is the perfect way to have fun together. Pass also includes skate hire.
Alternatively, purchase a 10 Pass Super Saver Card to enjoy entry to 10 general sessions and skate hire. This card is valid for one person and is not valid for Learn to Skate classes/some special events.
Birthday parties at Skateaway Albany Creek
Skateaway Albany Creek is the perfect place to celebrate your birthday, anniversary, achievement or end of year get together. Their team takes care of everything, so you and your guests can “roll away” and enjoy. Classic Kids Party packages for a minimum of 8 guests include:

Skate Shop at Skateaway Albany Creek
Skateaway’s pro shop, the Skate Shop, features a huge range of skate industry products and also includes an online store that ships Australia-wide. Skate Shop is an all-inclusive shop for ice skates, inline skates, quad skates, and more for recreational, derby, figure skating and inline hockey. They stock well-known brands such as Bauer, Bladerunner, Bont, Crazy, Edea, Ilary and more.
