You probably know that Brisbane has dozens of places for families to take a dip and cool down in the hotter weather, but did you know that many of these venues have added to the fun with exciting features like waterslides?? No longer is the local public pool just a 25m rectangle to splash around in—families could literally spend an entire day at these waterslide locations throughout Brisbane!

Albany Creek Leisure Centre

With three heated swimming pools all year ‘round, Albany Creek Leisure Centre has something for everyone! The leisure area also has many attractions to keep all children entertained for hours, including a lagoon area with junior slide and water spouts, a rapid river with water jets to propel you on your journey and giant slide operating throughout summer.

• Adult Entry (16 years and over): $5.80
• Child Entry: $5.30
• Children Under 3 Years: Free     
• Non-swimmer Fee: $3.50

Chermside Aquatic Centre

Chermside Aquatic Centre, on Brisbane’s northside, is a large public pool complex that caters for anyone looking to cool off in the hot weather. Along with a 25m heated outdoor lap pool that’s open all year ‘round, the centre has an awesome water park open during the summer months. The water park has 6 fantastic waterslides and a lagoon play area that features smaller kids’ slides, water mushrooms, drop buckets and bubblers.

Hibiscus Leisure Centre

Set among landscaped gardens, Hibiscus Leisure Centre features a 50m Olympic outdoor pool which is heated during winter. There are also two indoor heated pools, a 12-metre pool for learn to swim and a 25-metre pool for recreation and fitness. Along with the fenced waterplay area, the 20m long twisting waterslide is always a hit with families during summer.

Manly Pool

Manly Pool complex, located just 30 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, features a 25m pool that is heated year-round to a target temperature of 28°C. With facilities for all ages, including a safe and secure kids’ area especially for toddlers and infants, it’s the large, double-loop waterslide (open in summer) that is a big hit with the whole family!

Newmarket Olympic Swimming Pool

One of our personal favourites, Newmarket Olympic Swimming Pool has a 50m 8-lane heated Olympic pool that has a shade cloth over the shallow end, a 25m covered outdoor heated programs pool and an indoor heated programs pool. In the summer season, families can enjoy the large 5m twisting slide (pre-paid wristband required), a shadecloth-covered toddlers’ wading pool, the children’s leisure pool with two smaller slides and the splash pad with tipping bucket. Inflatable tubes are also available for hire.

Sandgate Aquatic Centre

Located on the stunning waterfront at Sandgate, Sandgate Aquatic centre caters to families of all sizes with an Olympic pool and a heated indoor learn to swim pool. The shaded leisure pool features waterplay activities, as well as larger twisting slides and shorter slides for younger children that are accessible in the summer months.
