  • AboutBrisbane Kids Creative was created by me! Ngaire Stirling. I wont pretend to talk in the third person about myself, instead let me tell you a bit about me and how 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came about. At the time the domain name 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for purchase I was a stay at home mum in the middle of a degree centred around journalism and PR. a couple of years earlier I had been contemplating returning to my previous career in marketing management and for a while I even tried. 3 months into a new role and it was clear that I had no passion for my old life and to make the decision to quit easier, my almost 2 year old at the time was not coping with childcare. So, as a family we made the decision for me to return to becoming a stay at home mum. About 1 years later or so.. 110.232.142.129/~brisba22 came up for sale. My friends had often commented on my ability to know exactly what was happening in Brisbane for kids. I had my son enrolled in some awesome activities and we often visited some great destinations. I loved finding fun things for us to doโ€ฆ

How to save on entry to Council Pools in Brisbane

Last Updated: December 27, 2023
Swimming pool, girl with goggles and pool noodle

With 22 Brisbane City Council pools across the city all now open for the summer swim season, thereโ€™s no better time to get out and make the most of these incredible community facilities. The winter season has officially ended, which means your local pool is open and ready for your Brisbane Kids to make a splash!

Council pools allow you to do more of what you love, including enjoying Brisbaneโ€™s beautiful climate and connecting with the people and places that make our city great. Many Council pool facilities feature far more than just your average 25-metre and 50-metre swimming pools, including slides, tipping buckets, toddler splash zones and beach-entry leisure pools.

Council pools are independently run by local business operators, each of which offers their own take on multi-visit passes and memberships, with some offering season passes.

Season passes for Council Pools in Brisbane

A season pass is a great way to get the most value from your participating local Council pool. Season passes enable return visits all season long for a one-off purchase price. This means your family can visit your local pool all day, every day of the swim season (who needs a pool at home?!). For families, a major benefit of the season pass is that you can also leave the facility and return on the same day, making popping home for lunch or nap time easier than ever. Adult, child, concession and family (1 adult + 2 children) season passes are available to buy, with an option to add extra people to the family pass at a discounted rate.

Membership options for local Brisbane pools

A membership at your participating local Council pool allows for unlimited visits to a specific pool within a set membership period. The benefit of a pool membership is knowing you have your family covered for unlimited swimming outings over the warmer months without having to continue to pay entry fees.

Multi-visit passes for local Brisbane pools

You can also choose a multi-visit pass allowing for 10 or more visits at a discounted per-visit rate. The flexibility of these passes means your family can visit your local pool whenever they feel like it during the swim season.

    Extremely frustrating
Where are Brisbane council pools entry fees/monthly passes etc
    Why aren’t they listed?
Why should I have to go to each pool – & often say contact pool
    NOT HAPPY
A basic simple question that SHOULD be available on your council pool site
Would hate to be visiting from somewhere else when even something majority of council already have for everyone to see & compare
Though once as a Brisbane council pool all fees are the same anyway do why aren’t they on the site?

Hi Barbara – thanks for your kind and candid feedback. We dont list the pricing because they are subject to change at any time and do change depending on the pool, so it is always best to go to the council website where you can go to each pools site and find their current pricing there (and also if they are open given its winter). Take care and best wishes.
