You’ll find the calm and cute Clarina Street Park set among the leafy green trees in Chapel Hill. With its nature-based equipment, this hidden playground is a secret treasure ready to be discovered by Brisbane kids.
Clarina Street Park playground
This playground is tucked into a quiet corner at the end of a neighbourhood street. Although the play equipment is modern, its timber and eucalyptus colour scheme helps it blend into the natural surroundings of this snug little pocket.
The height and spacing of most of the equipment here make this park very well-suited to primary school-aged children. However, there are options for little kids as well.
The playground’s main attraction is a series of connected platforms and forts. Multiple climbing routes can reach each terrace; these include wobbly rope bridges, stepping stones, a rope net and a cliff climber. Active children will love the physical challenge this equipment provides.
Down below, there’s a cafe window for kids to serve up their latest culinary creations. Little toddlers can also delight in a smaller slide or practise climbing and balancing on the cut log stepping stones.
Another appealing feature of this park is the climbing wall, where determined children can traverse along the length of a low wall using wooden footholds. The cut log steppers and the wooden teepee are also fun choices for children who enjoy imaginative play.
Follow the trail of sandstone blocks further down the slope to uncover two swings, including a tandem swing for an adult and a toddler to enjoy together. Natural scrub and green vegetation surround this playground. Unfortunately, there are no shade sails, but the trees provide a snippet of shade.
Clarina Street Park Imagination Factor
The wooden teepee and the trees surrounding this playground create the perfect setting for a camping adventure game. Start your exploration from the safety of the teepee, then undertake an expedition to search for supplies. Afterwards, return safely to the campfire. Use your imagination to pretend the blue toddler slide is a rushing river. Where will you head for shelter and safety?
Clarina Street Park Accessibility
Unfortunately, this park is not considered an accessible playground. Access to the park from the road is via a sloped and uneven area. There are no toilets at this park and no direct shade over the play equipment.

What We Thought of Clarina Street Park
We loved that this playground was set in a peaceful environment, surrounded by trees. Although there were plenty of options for activity, it also seemed very calm. My little one enjoyed playing in the teepee and jumping on the logs. We also took great delight in being able to share a book from the street library during our visit.
