Many Brisbane families light up their houses at Christmas but a select few go above and beyond, and we would like to highlight these displays so our loyal followers can go and see what all the fuss is about.
Our curated list of Brisbane’s top Christmas lights represents the pinnacle of festive brilliance, chosen for their extraordinary creativity, community spirit, and sheer visual impact, guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Displays are generally on nightly at the specified times, though weather and personal circumstances may affect this. Please be respectful of the owners decisions. A lot of effort and money goes into these displays. Happy light hunting.
Brisbane’s Most Spectacular Christmas Lights
Without further ado, please enjoy our personal favourites and the most spectacular (in our opinion) Christmas Lights in Brisbane for 2023 (in no particular order).
27 Minimine Street, Stafford
A massive display of lights and inflatables which grows and improves each and every year. This year the display features a tribute to artist Banksy with a Christmas version of “Girl with Balloon”, along with new dancing elves, bright spinning flowers and a mega bloom. Visitors have the chance to pose for the ultimate selfie with Rudolf, and of course, the always popular snow experience – controlled by Frosty the Snowman!
Lights on 1st – 25th December 2023, 7pm – 10pm.
1 Paul Tully Drive, Collingwood Park
The folk at 1 Paul Tully Drive are back in 2023 with a bigger, brighter and better display including tonnes of lights, interactive winter wonderland, inflatables, a nativity scene and more. You can even get your name and message included on their 10ft tree. Bubbles and music each night and the always fun, snow machine on Friday and Saturday nights.
Lights on 10th November 2023 to 1st January 2024, 6.30pm – 9.30pm.
127 Cross Street, Deception Bay
You will not find a more authentic, kind and caring Santa than the man himself at 127 Cross Street, Deception Bay (formerly of Fountain Road, Burpengary East). On select nights you can get your photo taken with Santa (or the Grinch and Frosty) and create lasting memories. Take a walk through the massive display, marvelling at the colourful lights, and immerse yourself in the Christmas cheer that oozes from this wonderful display.
Lights on 1st – 28th December 2023, 6.15pm – 9.55pm.
39 Louisa Place, Karalee
Dress up, sing loud and ‘let it go, let it go’ when you visit this ‘Frozen’ themed display at Louisa Place in Karalee. Photo opportunities are scattered everywhere with props made using recycled timber and lovingly hand painted, and Frozen inflatables, including a large Olaf and a 7m Christmas tree to view as well. If you visit on Friday and Saturday night you can even enjoy a meet and greet with Olaf and Elsa!
Lights on 19th November to 26th December 2023, 6.30pm – 10pm.
12 Bedarra Crescent, Burpengary East
Easily one of the most spectacular displays in Brisbane. Merry Strickland Christmas is situated on a corner block maximising street appeal and features a 10m GIANT inflatable Santa, a 3D holographic spinning LED light and tonnes of lights.
Lights on 24th November – 31st December 2023, 5.30pm – 10.30pm.
27 Greenfield Road, Capalaba
If it is synchronised lights you are looking for then you must visit Greenfield Lights in Capalaba. Touted as the largest automated display in Australia, this captivating display will have mouths agape in awe. And if the lights aren’t enough, they also have a snow machine and many other houses in the street light up fro Christmas too.

6 Rise Place, Heathwood
Lights on Rise at Heathwood dazzle visitors each year and this year is no different. Set against an overhead canopy of over 3,000 lights, a 6m Santa towers above you, as well large 4m inflatables, two commercial bubble machines and many large 3D light structures including a teddy bear, Santa, Christmas trees and our favourite Christmas wombat. A sight to behold.

86 College Way, Boondall
With the rise of synchronised displays, combining music and lights, College Way Lights stands out from the crowd, bringing video into the mix as well. When energetic visitors aren’t marvelling at the sheer brilliance of this display, they can put on their dancing shoes and jive the night away on the driveway dance floor, even voting for the next song by QR code.
Lights on 28th November 2023 – 1st January 2024, 6.30pm – 10pm (until 10.30pm on Fri and Sat. nights).
10 Keeling Street, Coopers Plains
Lehmann’s Christmas Spectacular is a popular, full walk through display spanning the home and includes a 4.2m Cone Tree, a 3m Cone Tree and to top it off a 3m lying down snow man. There are plenty of photo opportunities (teddy bear and Christmas sleigh with reindeer) plus snow, smoke and bubbles on weekends. The thoughtful crew even have ‘sensory time’ each Wednesday between 6pm – 9pm.
Lights on 14th November 2023 to 1st January 2024, 7pm – 10pm.
19 Nemarra Street, Wynnum West
They don’t call themselves GIANTS ON THE HILL for nothing. Not only is this a dazzling, colourful display but it also features Australia’s largest Santa (you have to see it to believe it).

Bendee Court, Narangba
If you want to get out of the car and walk around displays to get into the spirit of Christmas, then head to Bendee Court in Narangba. Many houses in the court celebrate Christmas with lights, inflatable and unique Christmas decorations and often hand out candy canes too!
