Before You Embark on a Train Journey
Travelling on the train is a fun way to get around Brisbane especially when the end result is spending time at an awesome playground. To make your day run as smooth as possible, consider the following:
- While many of the new trains have a toilet on them, and some stations have toilet facilities, it pays to make sure everyone has used the bathrooms before you go.
- Before embarking, discuss safety guidelines and general public transport rules.
- Food and drinks (other than water) and not permitted to be consumed on trains, so have your snacks before or after your train journey.
- To avoid waiting at stations for long periods, check the Translink website or app for current train schedules.
- Have your payment methods ready – Go Cards, credit card etc, so you are not fumbling around at the last minute.
- Know which carriages to use – bikes/eScooters are only allowed on certain carriages, with a suggested maximum of two bikes per carriage. Wheelchairs should use the accessible carriage which is clearly marked on the platform.
